FOR FEED CHAIN
What is GMP+ standard?
The GMP+ standards have been developed to harmonize requirements for feed in order to ensure quality and safety throughout the entire feed chain. It is based on widely recognized principles of quality assurance, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
Choosing which standard (B1, B2, etc.) and certification scope (production of feed materials, trade, etc.) depends on the organization’s role in the feed chain.
- GMP+B1 is mandatory for the production of compound feed, but can also be used for the production of feed materials.
- GMP+ B2 can be used for the production of feed materials and feed additives
- GMP+ B3 is intended for trade and transshipment.
Each of these standards is intended for different means of feed transport. All steps in the supply chain are thus covered by the given requirements.
GMP+ certifications can be viewed online in the certified companies database on www.gmpplus.org
There are two schemes of GMP+:
- GMP+ FRA (Feed Responsibility Assurance) Certification
- GMP+ FSA (Feed Safety Assurance) Certification
GMP+ SCHEMEs BENEFITS
Contributes to the continuity of operations
the organization becomes more efficient in design and financial risks and cost involved in mistakes are reduced
Focus on quality management (ISO 9001) and risk control (HACCP)
provides a significant improvement in your overall quality policy
Shows the customers and relationships that you represent reliability and professionalism
not only because you contribute to safe feed, but also because you are part of a network of over 20,000 companies in more than 80 countries.
A stronger chain
the more companies produce, process, store and transport in identical manners, the safer the feed produced by the chain becomes.
Gain access to a lot of knowledge and information and various certificates
can be combined, both within GMP+ (FRA and FSA) and with other schemes (harmonization)
You are in compliance
with European legislation regarding feed safety.
