Bureau Veritas awards ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 certification in Real Estate Management to Savills Vietnam

Jan. 15 2024

On November 17, Bureau Veritas Vietnam officially awarded a certificate confirming that it meets international management standards ISO 14001 on Environment and ISO 45001 on Occupational Safety and Health in the field of Real Estate Management Services for Savills Vietnam. With this result, Savills became the first unit in Vietnam to achieve both important certificates, marking an important milestone in real estate management and a foundation for the company's sustainable development.

Specifically, the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification proves the commitment of Savills Vietnam Real Estate Management Department to limit environmental impacts during project management and operations. ISO 14001 standard shows that Savills has fully met the general requirements for the environmental management system, increasing the efficiency and productivity of resource use, thereby optimizing operating costs and minimizing risks and waste.

Along with that, the field of real estate management is unique in that it requires very high safety due to its large human resources. In Vietnam alone, Savills Vietnam's Real Estate Management Department has about 2,000 employees working in more than 100 projects in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai....

Therefore, achieving ISO 45001:2018 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management shows Savills' commitment to providing a safe and healthy working environment, minimizing incidents as well as improving the effectiveness of applying the Occupational Health - Safety (OH&S) management system

Sharing during the certificate awarding ceremony, Mr. Neil MacGregor, CEO of Savills Vietnam, said that with the support of Bureau Veritas Vietnam throughout the process, the company is very proud to achieve this important milestone on its journey of the highest quality across every service: “This achievement reflects our commitment, particularly in the area of health and safety, to building and maintaining leading standards. We hope to expand the quality certification process to cover all Savills activities and services in Vietnam."

Not only that, these two certificates are also clear evidence of Savills' commitment to ESG (Environment - Society - Governance) standards in business activities in Vietnam, including the Net-Zero by 2030.

Sharing about the process of accompanying Savills in achieving the above two certificates, Ms. Luu Thi Mai Huong, Director of Bureau Veritas Vietnam Certification, affirmed the completion of the system to meet ISO standards of any enterprise required a lot of time and effort. Representative of Bureau Verista Vietnam congratulated Savills on completing and achieving environmental and safety certificates earlier than expected.

“Two certificates of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 show that Savills Vietnam not only focuses on improving the quality of business services but also cares about the health and safe working environment of employees. This is a solid basis for the enterprises to maintain these standards and expand the application of appropriate ISO standards to other Savills business activities in the future," Ms. Huong added.
