BUREAU VERITAS BRINGS PRACTICAL CLIMATE RESILIENCE SOLUTIONS TO “BUILD TO LAST 2026”
Apr. 9 2026
Ho Chi Minh City, April 2026 - Bureau Veritas Vietnam participated in “Build to Last 2026”, the flagship event organized by the France–Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFV), contributing technical expertise and practical solutions to help real estate and infrastructure stakeholders strengthen climate resilience and long-term asset performance.
At the event, Bureau Veritas officially introduced Building Resilience Index (BRI) verification services to the Vietnamese market, providing building owners, developers, investors, and operators with an independent and credible approach to assess and verify the resilience of their assets against climate and natural catastrophe risks.
Turning Climate Risk into Actionable Insights for Asset Owners
Developed by IFC (a member of the World Bank Group), Building Resilience Index (BRI) is a free, web-based framework that enables stakeholders to evaluate site-level climate hazards, assess building vulnerabilities, and define cost-effective resilience improvements across risks such as wind, water, fire, and geoseismic events.
As IFC’s first global verification partner, Bureau Veritas plays a critical role in translating BRI assessments into trusted, actionable outcomes. Its independent third-party verification services help ensure that:
- Climate risk assessments are accurate and reliable
- Recommended resilience measures are properly implemented
- Buildings comply with applicable Vietnamese codes and standards
- Resilience ratings can be confidently used by investors, insurers, lenders, and tenants
“Climate resilience is no longer a theoretical discussion – it is a practical priority for those responsible for the safety, value, and insurability of buildings, through BRI verification, we help clients move from risk awareness to verified resilience, backed by independent assurance.” said Mr. Frederic Pergay, SVP Buildings & Infrastructure, Asia Pacific, Bureau Veritas.

Throughout Build to Last 2026, Bureau Veritas actively engaged with participants to share insights and hands-on experience on how resilience can be embedded into building strategies and investment decisions. That enabled customers to better understand how resilience strategies can reduce operational disruptions, protect occupants, and safeguard asset value over time.
With more than 25 years of experience in Vietnam, Bureau Veritas supports the built environment through comprehensive testing, inspection, and certification services across buildings, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and supply chains. The introduction of BRI verification strengthens its ability to help clients manage climate risk, improve transparency, and enhance asset performance throughout the building lifecycle.
By contributing technical expertise and practical tools at Build to Last 2026, Bureau Veritas reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Vietnam’s transition toward resilient, sustainable, and future-ready buildings and infrastructure.
