The Khanh My and Dam Doi Field Development Project is located in Block 46/13 of the Malay-Tho Chu Basin, approximately 205 kilometers southwest of Ca Mau Cape. This strategic location enables efficient integration with the region’s existing oil and gas infrastructure. With a total development investment of nearly USD 350 million, the project includes the construction of two normally unmanned wellhead platforms, approximately 32 kilometers of gas gathering pipelines, and associated modification works. The project plays a significant role in increasing gas supply for Southwest Vietnam, contributing to national energy security while supporting the operations of the Ca Mau Gas-Power-Fertilizer Complex.
As the project's Certifying Authority, Bureau Veritas plays a critical role in providing independent assurance and certification services. This responsibility demands a high degree of impartiality, extensive technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle

Bureau Veritas will undertake the following key activities for the project: (1) Compliance assessment and certification to verify conformity with applicable national and international codes and standards, offshore oil and gas safety regulations, and quality requirements for materials and equipment. (2) Technical and safety risk management throughout each stage of project development, including the identification of potential risks and the provision of recommendations to mitigate them effectively. (3) Asset integrity assurance through the review and oversight of engineering design, construction activities, and the execution of independent inspections to ensure the project's safety, reliability, and performance. (4) Technical advisory and project support services to assist the project owners in project management activities, provide expert technical guidance, and strengthen stakeholder confidence throughout the project lifecycle. All activities will be carried out in accordance with internationally recognized standards and best practices covering engineering, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

As energy projects become increasingly complex, the role of independent assurance organizations such as Bureau Veritas extends far beyond compliance assessment and certification. Through comprehensive risk management, Bureau Veritas helps build confidence among stakeholders, supports effective project management throughout the asset lifecycle, and ensures compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The Group’s independence, technical expertise, and commitment to quality assurance are key factors in enhancing the integrity, reliability, and long-term performance of critical energy infrastructure.

Bureau Veritas’ involvement in the Khanh My and Dam Doi Field Development Project reflects not only its commitment to supporting the project owners, but also its long-standing dedication to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s energy sector. Backed by more than 200 years of global experience in testing, inspection, and certification services, Bureau Veritas will continue to play a vital role in improving the safety, quality, and sustainability of energy assets, contributing to Vietnam’s energy transition and supporting the country’s journey toward a more sustainable future.
