Bureau Veritas Participated In The Safety Assessment And Certification Of The Elevated Section Of The Nhon - Hanoi Station Metro Project

On November 9th, at S8 Station - Cau Giay Station, Hanoi People's Committee held a ceremony to commence commercial operation of the elevated section of the Hanoi Pilot Urban Railway Project, Nhon - Hanoi Station section. The project is one of the capital's key transport infrastructures, promising to bring many benefits to the people and lay the foundation for the development of public transport and green transport in Hanoi.

The project is funded by the Asian Development Bank, the French Development Agency in Vietnam, the French Treasury, and the European Investment Bank. It is implemented with technologies and expertise from leading global companies.

To ensure the quality and safety of this project, the participation of independent inspection organizations is extremely important. The Joint Venture of Apave - Bureau Veritas - Certifer Consultant (ABC Consultant) is honored to be selected to accompany the project from the construction phase, conducting assessments to identify and rectify project deficiencies. Based on these assessments, the Consultant will issue a system safety certificate for the urban railway to commence commercial operation.

The system safety certification is one of the important procedures of the project that has been completed after an independent assessment by ABC Consultant. The safety assessment and certification are conducted according to European standards and Vietnamese regulations to ensure absolute safety for passengers when using a modern, convenient and environmentally friendly transportation system.

At the same time, along with the Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 1 project, Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien section, which is expected to be officially operated at the end of 2024, is also having its safety assessment and certification conducted by Bureau Veritas. We are proud to contribute to a more sustainable, greener, and safer Vietnam.
