BUREAU VERITAS PARTNERS WITH BAF VIETNAM TO ENHANCE SUSTAINABLE LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION STANDARDS
May. 4 2026
Bureau Veritas Vietnam has officially awarded the GLOBAL S.L.P (Global Smart Livestock Practices) to 25 pig farms of BAF Vietnam Agriculture Joint Stock Company (BAF Vietnam), recognizing the company’s continuous efforts in adopting international standards for responsible livestock production, food safety, and traceability.
This achievement builds on an important milestone following the certification of BAF Vietnam’s first 9 farms under the Global S.L.P standard in 2024, reaffirming the company’s sustainable development strategy and its long-term commitment to advancing the modern agricultural value chain.
The GLOBAL S.L.P certification is providing a comprehensive assessment of pig production operations, covering animal welfare conditions, biosecurity, environmental management, and compliance with stringent food safety requirements. Achieving certification for 25 farms simultaneously highlights BAF Vietnam’s strong operational consistency and professional, large-scale approach to livestock production.
As an independent testing, inspection, and certification body, Bureau Veritas has supported BAF Vietnam throughout the entire assessment process, conducting system reviews and ensuring that technical requirements are implemented in line with international standards while remaining aligned with practical conditions in Vietnam.
A representative of Bureau Veritas noted that the growing number of major livestock companies in Vietnam proactively adopting standards such as GLOBAL S.L.P not only contributes to improving product quality, but also promotes the sustainable and transparent development of the industry as a whole.
The cooperation between Bureau Veritas and BAF Vietnam continues to serve as a strong testament to the role of international standards in elevating the agricultural supply chain and meeting the increasingly stringent requirements of both domestic and international markets.
