On 4 July 2026, Mr. Nguyen Huynh Thanh Phong, Sustainability Manager and representative of Bureau Veritas Vietnam, officially presented the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Certification to ATAD Steel Structure Corporation, under the Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (SWEDAC) accredited certification scheme, with the declaration published on the International EPD System.
Mr. Nguyen Huynh Thanh Phong, Sustainability Director of Bureau Veritas Vietnam, presents the certificate to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Deputy General Director of ATAD Steel Structure Corporation
This milestone reflects ATAD's strong commitment to environmental transparency and sustainable development. More importantly, it marks another step in the company's ongoing sustainability journey, continuously improving environmental performance, strengthening market competitiveness, and preparing increasingly stringent global market expectations.
The International EPD System is one of the world's longest established and most recognized EPD programme operators. It develops and manages Product Category Rules (PCRs), which provide standardized methodologies for preparing Environmental Product Declarations. Starting in 2026, updated PCRs for construction products will introduce more rigorous requirements for life cycle assessment methodologies, data quality, and transparency, reflecting the growing expectations of regulators and the construction industry worldwide.
Certification under the SWEDAC-accredited scheme demonstrates the highest level of commitment to the accuracy, credibility, and transparency of EPD verification. It also provides international recognition across multiple markets, from the European Union (EU) to Australia, helping manufacturers enhance market acceptance and facilitate global trade.
At Bureau Veritas Vietnam, we are committed to supporting Vietnamese businesses throughout their sustainability journey by helping them comply with evolving international regulations and market requirements, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), Construction Products Regulation (CPR), and the Digital Product Passport (DPP), enabling them to strengthen global competitiveness and unlock new opportunities in international markets.
