SVDN Gas Pipeline is a key subsea gas pipeline project with a total capacity of 2-3 billion m3/year for the southeast area of Vietnam. PetroVietnam Gas Projects Management Company (PVGAS PMC) gave their trust in Bureau Veritas Vietnam (BVVN) to issue the Certification of Conformity of the Design - Procurement - Construction - Installation – Pre-commissioning and Commissioning of the 46km - length offshore pipeline connecting the BK Thien Ung Vietsopetro, and Sao Vang CPP Idemitsu platforms to the existing SSIV terminal of Nam Con Son 2 pipeline.
The project approach was the following:
Gas from BK Thien Ung would be gathered at Sao Vang CPP (SV-CPP), then compressed and sent with gas from Sao Vang – Dai Nguyet to Nam Con Son 2 pipeline. The subsea pipeline system includes:
- Sao Vang – NCS2 pipeline: 26 Inch OD ~22km length;
- Thien Ung – Sao Vang: 18 Inch OD ~23km length.
- PLEM/SSIV and Tie-in Spools
Our Bureau Veritas Certification Authority inspector on-site has cooperated with all stakeholders in review, surveillance, inspection, verification. The EPC contractor was PTSC Company and all sub-contractors/suppliers were in charge of pipeline system fabrication, installation, and testing. Specifically, HDL/HDG for the vendor package, Husteel; Dong Yang for the Bare Pipe/ Bends, PVCoating for the 3LPE and CWC, AECC manufacturer for the PLEM/SSIV fabrication, POS for the Tie-in Spools fabrication and testing, Technip PGM for the pipeline laying at offshore, POS/OWA/OCS for the Tie-in spools installation and pre-commissioning at offshore, and PVGAS DVK for the commissioning.
The project has completed the offshore pre-commissioning with absolute compliance with codes, standards, project specifications. GAS-IN for commissioning has been completed successfully. The Pipeline system is now gathering gas and condensate into the NCS2 pipeline.
