Bureau Veritas Vietnam is proud to share that Mr. Nguyen Huynh Thanh Phong, Sustainability Manager, was invited by Bursa Malaysia to participate in the event “Enhancing Sustainability Readiness for the Iron and Steel Sector”.
This important initiative brought together industry leaders and sustainability professionals to exchange insights on strengthening sustainability practices, including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management in line with CBAM regulation, development of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) & Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) reports, aligned with the market mechanism such as ESPR, as well as ESG reporting under CSRD. The discussions focused on ensuring regulatory preparedness, and long-term resilience for one of the most critical and emissions-intensive sectors globally, particularly in Southeast Asia, where a large share of Iron and Steel manufacturing is concentrated.
Through Mr. Phong’s participation, Bureau Veritas Vietnam reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the iron and steel industry in their sustainability journey from developing decarbonization strategies and sustainability reporting to verification, risk management, and compliance with international standards and market expectations.
