PROJECT ASSURANCE

PROJECT ASSURANCE

Ships are constructed in countries around the world – but only the largest shipowners are likely to have in-house dedicated teams to verify construction and repair works. Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore provides project assurance through on-site, second-party representation, supplementing in-house teams. Our experts are available worldwide to ensure that new construction, conversion, and repair works are completed to specification and quality standards.

Vessels can be built or repaired in shipyards across the world, often at great distance from the owners who commission and operate them. To be sure that vessels are built and repaired to specification, shipowners must have second-party representation on the ground. This requires the presence of a range of experts, including mechanical, coatings, and structural engineers, who can act on the owner’s behalf, ensuring the vessel is constructed or altered as required.

  • Our highly qualified teams of mechanical, coatings and structural engineers act as on-site, second-party representation
  • Our regulatory experts support shipowners by ensuring vessels are built, converted or repaired to specification
  • Our extensive global presence ensures our experts can be quickly deployed to shipyards around the world
  • Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore is recognized for our history of expertise and experience in project management
