BUREAU VERITAS AWARDS ISO 45001:2018 CERTIFICATION TO DONG A STEEL JOINT STOCK COMPANY - REAFFIRMING ITS COMMITMENT TO OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
In April 2026, Bureau Veritas Vietnam officially awarded the ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification to Đông Á steel Joint Stock Company at its manufacturing facility located in Dong An 2 Industrial Park. The certification marks an important milestone in the company’s journey to enhance management standards and demonstrates its strong commitment to protecting employee well-being while pursuing sustainable development.
At the ceremony, Bureau Veritas Vietnam presented the ISO 45001:2018 certificate to Mr. Lam Vinh Hao, Deputy General Director of Production of Đông Á Steel Joint Stock Company, in recognition of the company’s structured and continuous efforts in establishing and effectively operating an occupational health and safety management system in line with international standards.
ISO 45001:2018, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), provides a comprehensive framework that enables organizations to identify hazards, assess and control risks, thereby reducing occupational accidents and work-related illnesses while improving working conditions. For industrial manufacturing companies such as Đông Á Steel, the effective implementation of this standard plays a critical role in ensuring operational continuity, enhancing productivity, and fostering a sustainable safety culture.
During the assessment process, Bureau Veritas worked closely with Đông Á Steel Joint Stock Company to evaluate its compliance with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018, covering areas such as occupational health and safety policy development, operational risk control, employee training, and continuous improvement mechanisms. The certification results demonstrate that Đông Á Steel’s occupational health and safety management system not only meets the requirements of the standard but is also consistently and effectively implemented, well aligned with the company’s production characteristics and long-term development strategy.
