Bureau Veritas affirms its leading position in sustainable development at GEFE 2022

The Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE 2022), organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) and attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, took place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 28 to 30, 2022. Bureau Veritas is honored to provide the best solutions for customers on their path to sustainable development throughout the event.
GEFE 2022 aims to support Vietnam in achieving its commitments at COP 26 and the socio-economic development goals outlined in the National Green Growth Strategy for the 2021-2030 period. The event brings together leading organizations and individuals in the field of business and sustainable management with a series of conferences, exhibitions and high-level B2B and B2G dialogue sessions, along with the Green Business Award Ceremony from EuroCham. In addition, this event aims to strengthen the cooperation between European and Vietnamese business communities, helping to promote a sustainable green Vietnamese economy through initiatives, expertise sharing and technology transfer.
In which, the discussion panel sessions focused on the following topics: Green energy and financing, waste treatment and sustainable development, innovation and entrepreneurship. Mr. Tran Viet Hoang, Energy & GHG Product Manager at Bureau Veritas Vietnam, discussed Bureau Veritas' services connected to greenhouse gas assessment and verification, with the goal of becoming carbon neutral and reducing net emissions to zero in compliance with Decree 06/2022. Furthermore, in order to protect the environment, reduce the use of fossil fuels, minimize waste to the environment, and increase the rate of recycling and reuse in the circular economy, He also discussed ISCC (International Sustainability Carbon Certification) service, thereby assisting Vietnamese businesses to access the requirements of the European market. In Vietnam, Bureau Veritas is one of the pioneers in providing carbon footprint verification services.

In order to promote sustainability, Bureau Veritas and a group of French companies took part in the exhibition at the French Pavilion. We used design concepts that minimize the use of plastic bottles and straws, recycled paper and cardboard, and also digitalized materials to reduce the printing of leaflets.
Bureau Veritas presents our green solution service line, also known as the BV Green Line, at GEFE 2022. We provide organizations, both public and private, with the tools they need to adopt, evaluate, and realize their sustainability goals through our green line of services and solutions.
