Bureau Veritas participates in international conference on consulting for urban railway projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi

May. 2 2025

On April 18, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) and the Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) co-organized an international conference titled "Information on Consulting for Urban Railway Projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi" with 300 delegates attending in person and about 500 delegates attending online from over 24 countries, including consultants and investors both domestic and international.

The conference aimed to widely disseminate information, exchange general work orientations, and listen to valuable contributions and experiences from consultants and investors on important and urgent aspects of urban railway projects such as: FEED design; project implementation models; bidding strategies; selection of contract forms (EPC, Design & Build...), risk management strategies, system safety certification evaluation, etc.

Bureau Veritas is honored to participate in the system safety certification evaluation for the elevated section of the Nhổn - Hanoi Station metro project and the entire Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro Line 1 project. System safety certification is one of the essential procedures for metro lines worldwide and in Vietnam. The process involves meticulous and thorough review by an independent safety assessment organization to confirm the compliance of the railway system at each stage of its lifecycle with safety evaluation standards, ensuring passenger safety when using a modern, convenient, and environmentally friendly transportation system.

Mr. David Martin Ruiz, Country Chief Director of Bureau Veritas Vietnam, attended and delivered a presentation on the capabilities and solutions of the Group in the field of urban railways.
