Vietnam Minister of Natural Resources and Environment

meeting Bureau Veritas leaders in Paris

On Friday, November 5 in Paris, following his working visit to the 26th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, led by Minister Tran Hong Ha met the senior leaders of Bureau Veritas, a partner of choice in the sustainable development and Net Zero Emission challenge of Vietnam.

Vietnam made a strong commitment to climate change response

Minister Tran affirmed that Vietnam has chosen a sustainable and active approach to development in the direction of the green and circular economy. He also evaluated the engagement of Bureau Veritas in building a sustainable future in Vietnam and the rest of the world. 

Our Group's representatives, Mr. Marc Boissonnet - Executive Vice president of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Renato Catrib - Senior Vice President Industries & Facilities Global Service Lines, and Mr. Bruno Ferreyra - Oil & Gas Global Service Line leader welcomed and exchanged on Sustainable Development and Carbon emissions-reducing. The two parties had the opportunity to identify strategic cooperation for the sustainable development and 2050 Net Zero-Emission challenges of Vietnam. Through BV GreenLine services and solutions, the company empowers organizations - both private and public - to implement, measure, and achieve their sustainability objectives.

At the end of the meeting, Bureau Veritas leaders expressed a desire to work with the Vietnamese government. The leaders of the group also invited the Vietnamese Minister and delegation for a visit to Bureau Veritas Vietnam to discuss potential areas of collaboration.

This event is an important milestone in the external affairs of Bureau Veritas in 2021, which is decisive in affirming our commitments to environmental issues worldwide and in Vietnam in particular.
