60 DAY NOTICES FOR BPA IN SOCKS UNDER CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 (JUNE 2022)
Numerous sock manufacturers, retailers, and brands have recently been awarded 60 Day Notices for allegedly using bisphenol A (BPA) in their products. These products were not sold with the Proposition 65 warning labeling for the presence of BPA.
The socks that were advertised were mostly made of spandex and polyester. Although all size ranges are mentioned in the announcements, baby and children's socks were the focus. The first documented settlement for socks containing bisphenol A (BPA) and made mostly of polyester with spandex has been reached. Read BPA In Socks regulatory update.
