Celebrating
Vietnam Women's Day 2021

Oct. 19 2021

On October 20, the Day for Vietnamese Women's is celebrated.

The date was born in 1930 when the Women’s Union was officially formed as a collective against imperialism. Vietnamese women were a strong force during the war, as they were equally fierce in their bravery and sacrifice. But this collective endurance has continued into the present.

It’s among several occasions on which the society shows their love and respect to the women for all the sacrifices they have made.

At Bureau Veritas, we are highly committed to gender equality. Last year, the company was ranked 38th in the ranking of women in leadership at the SBF 120 (which brings together the 120 most traded shares on the Paris Stock Exchange), released by the French State Secretariat for Equity between Women and Men.

We have a global goal of reaching 35% women in leadership and in the overall group by 2025.

In Vietnam, for instance, nearly half of our leadership board are women. We have a mentoring program focused on women to build careers and prepare for future management positions.

It goes beyond leadership. Women can work in positions that are still held by men. In Bureau Veritas Vietnam, almost 35% of employees are women.

We believe in building a better, fairer, more egalitarian, and diverse work environment. That's why, here at Bureau Veritas, we are working to transform the current scenario, giving voice, space, and opportunities to all our collaborators.
